Ceramics workshops for adults

To try ceramics in 2025 is still a goal on your list? But yes, to learn something, and be able to continue with more independence? A course on the basics of making ceramics might be just what you're looking for.

What you will learn:

• what is ceramic mass and what its characteristics are
• what the clay likes, what it doesn't like, what to look out for and how to treat it
• how the ceramics manufacturing process works
• basic hand-building methods (from a ball, from sheets, from rolls)
• how to make ceramics suitable for food contact
• several methods for decorating ceramics
• preparations for glazing
• glazing so that the glaze does not run off and to achieve different types of effects
• what to look out for so that the dishes created are comfortable
• useful tricks to make life easier

The course lasts 4 weeks, with each class lasting 2 hours. It is possible to make up missed classes. You will make several dozen works from start to finish (depending on methods and size). Everything we create will be suitable for food contact, dishwasher, microwave heating. The course price includes all materials and firing of the works. The course prepares you for further, more independent activities, e.g. in open workshops or at home (we fire works brought from home with us if they are made from known materials).

Enrolment for classes is continuous - you can sign up at any time.

Please note that the courses are intimate, so it is possible to come to individual classes on a similar basis to the open workshops.

Cost of participation:
PLN 80 per person per hour
PLN 150 for 2 hours
£500 for an 8-hour pass valid for 2 months.
PLN 850 for a 16-hour pass valid for 3 months.
Cost includes firing and materials.
